Beyond commercialization. Life.

Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.

Psalm 42:7

anthony glenn miller

The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.

living slow

Meditation: Living Slow

Away from the inner hustle and bustle.

Being still in the midst of the storms of life.

Communion with the Divine in All.

anthony glenn miller

A Time for Everything
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Inner Silence

Meditation: Silence

Watch and Play.

Play with the Silence.

Silence and Watchfulness.

anthony glenn miller

If only you would be altogether silent! For you, that would be wisdom.

Job 13:5

Slow Living

Meditation: Slow Living

Making space.

Mindful  in thought, word, and deed.

Meaningful living. Slow living.

anthony glenn miller

So let my lord go on ahead of his servant, while I move along slowly at the pace of the flocks and herds before me and the pace of the children, until I come to my lord in Seir.

Genesis 33:14

Meditation: Pace

Quality over quantity.

Attentiveness over quickness.

Local awareness over global information overload.

Be still and know.

anthony glenn miller

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

II Peter 3:9

Meditation: Slow

Moving with the pace of Nature.

Quiet. Being in the Light.

Being Loving-Kindness.

anthony glenn miller

Listening and Doing

My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,  because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

James 1:19-21

Meditation: Responsibility

What is our response ability?

Our responsibility to the Voice of the Eternal Spirit.

Respond well. Live well. Centered in the Spirit.

anthony glenn miller

Jesus shared:

My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me.

John 10:27

Meditation: Abide

Christ is Eternal. The Christ is not owned by any religion, person, place, or thing.  The Christ is the true WAY, the blessed TRUTH, and the authentic LIFE that we’re all called to live. To abide in Christ is to dwell in the place where we find the depth and beauty of being centered in our most authentic self. To abide in Christ is to answer the universal call. The call that summons all to walk in beauty.

Abide in Christ. Walk in beauty.

anthony glenn miller

I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine-grower. He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit. You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing. Whoever does not abide in me is thrown away like a branch and withers; such branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.

John 15:1-8

Meditation: Alone

This offering by Alan Watts is particularly beautiful to me.  There are so many wonderful offerings from Alan Watts, why does this one speak so richly to me? One of the things this offering does for me is highlight the unique gift that each person brings. The problem for many people is that they don’t take time alone to hear what the still small voice within is calling them to do and be in the midst of a busy world.

To go it alone, with thoughtful intention, offers space to recover and remain rooted in the unique offering that’s within you. Hear the voice of the Eternal Spirit that resides within.

Live free. Offer your gifts freely.

Offer yourself freely for the liberation of yourself and others. Find your particular path that cannot be followed. The pathless path. Your unique path.

Be still and know. Be still. Be.
